Watermelon Agua Fresca
Enjoy the sweet taste of watermelon in a healthy and refreshing drink, perfect as a slushy or popsicles—a treat that everyone can feel good about!
Ingredients:
- 4 cups seedless watermelon cubes
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 lime
- Fresh mint
- Ice
Directions:
- Place watermelon and water in a blender. Blend until liquid.
- Squeeze 1/2 lime into the mixture and blend again.
- Add a sprig of fresh mint and serve over ice.
For a Slushy: Pour the blended drink (without the ice and mint) into a shallow pan and freeze. Scrape the frozen drink with an ice cream scoop and serve in a tall glass.
For Popsicles: Pour the blended drink (without the ice and mint) into popsicle molds and freeze.
Water with a Zing
- Cucumber and Citrus Water: Add a wedge of cucumber and/or a slice of lemon or lime to your ice water for a refreshing twist.
- Strawberry and Cucumber Infusion: Slices of fresh strawberries and cucumber will add some flavor to your water without added sugars that spike blood sugar.
